I start every project with a question. "What do they need to be able to do, and how will we know they can do it?" Everything works backward from that answer.
Good instructional design should look and feel good, so I build graphic-rich, interactive experiences.

IoT Super Powers
Two things I'm proud of in one project.
First, the technology. I am recognized as a co-inventor on a US patent for a system that pairs IoT sensors with augmented reality to give firefighters, police, and paramedics real-time situational awareness.
Second, the video. I designed this video to explain the invention at a high level.

Loading Trailers: A Hands-On Simulation
I designed an interactive simulation that let BJ's Wholesale Club associates practice loading freight before they ever stepped onto the dock.
Learners worked through three real tasks in a realistic, risk-free environment, making decisions and getting immediate feedback at each step.
This course is an example from a complete set of hands-on simulation courses that I designed for each front-line role.
The program won a Brandon Hall Award for Best Use of Mobile Learning.
